Farinelli and the King Life-Sized Horse
This incredible one-of-a-kind life-sized male horse appeared in the touring production of Farinelli and the King Globe (2015). It was ridden in the play by Sir Mark Rylance who played King Philip V of Spain. The horse is well-travelled, going from the West End to Broadway and back!
The horse is made of fibreglass with fake horse hair. It has a fringed fabric saddle blanket and a leather saddle and reigns. The horse has been theatrically painted to give the appearance of horsehair as detailed in the photos. The horse is mounted to a static timber base with pointed front. There are some dints and scratches to the paintwork commensurate with it being used on stage.
These original one-of-a-kind props comes with a certificate of authenticity. Every original item is offered in a used state as it has been on stage in performance at The Globe.
