This solid oak sign once hung outside the Globe Theatre to warn patrons that there would be a smoke effect during that day's performance. it would have been used for several different productions during its life.
The sign is hand lettered in black and the sign has a beveled edge. This sign is in fantastic condition but has lost its hanger (the holes where this would have been attached are still visible).
The sign measures 400 mm x 195 mm x 18 mm.
