Purple 'Parma Violets' Sweet
A 'Parma Violets' sweet prop that was used as part of a costume for our winter show Hansel & Gretel (2023-2024). The sweet was originally attached to a woolly hat so that it could be worn by an actor on the Globe Theatre stage.
This one-of-a-kind sweet was made onsite at the Globe by our props team. It is made from foam covered in a sparkly purple fabric with the words 'Parma Violets' stuck on. The sweet is then wrapped in a clear plastic.
The sweet does have some damage where is was attached to the hat. (see pictures)
The sweet measures c 1100 mm wide and c. 190 mm deep.
This original costume piece comes with a certificate of authenticity.
