Gold Sweet Prop
A gold 'Quality Street' style sweet prop that was used as part of a costume for our winter show Hansel & Gretel (2023-2024). The sweet was originally attached to a woolly hat so that it could be worn by an actor on the Globe Theatre stage.
This one-of-a-kind sweet was made onsite at the Globe by our props team. It is made from foam over a wire aperture covered in a yellow fabric with gold sequins and a translucent cream fabric with gold sequin trim.
The sweet does some minor damage where is was attached to the hat.
The sweet measures c 1000 mm wide and c. 240 mm deep.
This original costume piece comes with a certificate of authenticity.
