The coat of arms is made of wood and has a raised frame and raised shield in the centre. It has been hand-painted and made to look aged by our scenic painters. We have 10 of these small panels and this one is the coat of arms of Sir Thomas Howard. Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk (1561 – 1626), was the second son of Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk by his second wife Margaret Audley.
The shield has a blob of bronze coloured paint on one side and a paint chip to the top left corner. The panel measures approximately 340 mm x 215 mm x 25 mm.
This original one-of-a-kind prop comes with a certificate of authenticity. Every original item is offered in a used state as it has been on stage in performance.
