Meghan - Head of Retail

I wear many figurative hats; I am the Head of Retail which means I develop the strategy that underpins retail at the Globe, then I am the Retail Buyer, Product Developer, Licensing Manager, and Designer too!

A self-taught graphic designer with a passion for print (the discipline I studied), I have been designing product for the Globe Shop for 18 years. I have a love of words, and Shakespeare has some of the best words, and these words conjure the ideas that end up on our merchandise.

When I’m not at the Globe, I am growing veg, or making miniatures, or trying out new recipes, or sleeping.

Chris - Retail Manager

Hi, Chris here, the Retail Manager of our wonderful, award-winning shop nestled at the heart of Shakespeare's Globe. I'm always busy devising plans to ensure we smash our targets and contribute as much as possible to the Globe's education and charitable activities. But more than that, I see myself as a storyteller, bringing the magic of live theatre and Shakespeare's world right into our onsite shop. I aim to transform your visit into a delightful excursion of Shakespearean discovery. I lead the onsite shop's two fantastic supervisors and our wonderful visitor assistants.

As an unapologetic book lover, I enjoy penning heartfelt blogs and sharing tales of the books that line our shelves – those gems that bring Shakespeare's era back to life. When I'm not at the Globe, you can find me either at the cinema or feeding my passion for contemporary design and architecture at galleries and museums. I also produce exhibitions and events as a curator and cultural producer at other London cultural institutions. I love exploring vintage in the hunt for the holy grail. Everything I do inspires me to tell richer stories and fuels my creativity, making my work at Shakespeare's Globe more vibrant and engaging.

Jennifer - eCommerce Manager

Hello all from Jennifer, the eCommerce Manager for Shakespeare’s Globe Shop. I work to keep the shop website up to date with new and exciting images, blogs, product descriptions, and emails. I am excited about everything web and theatre and love trying to bring our products to life in exciting images taken around the Globe or planning the campaign photography that we have professionally taken in a studio in London. I love getting the opportunity to plan categories and build pages for our web shop for seasonal events throughout the year and researching Shakespeare quotes that will fit.

In my spare time I am normally busy crafting, sewing, or taking in every and all musicals that I can manage to get to!

Ryan - Stock Controller

With more than ten years of expertise in inventory systems and product management, Ryan Stennett is the Retail Stock Controller. He is in charge of quality assurance and loss prevention and has an eye for flexible and adjustable storage options. He also enjoys working in the renowned Shakespeare's Globe store because he does best in a dynamic and bustling setting. Oh, and he is the best DJ you've never heard of who has produced for Skepta and written for The Weeknd.



Adriano - Retail Shop Supervisor

Hi my name is Adriano, I'm from Verona, yes the actual Verona 🙂, that means I have Shakespeare in my DNA. I'm theatre obsessed; I run a blog about all of my theatre adventures - if you don't find me at the Globe shop I'm probably watching a play at the theatre. I play the guitar and for many years I taught the way of rock to many pupils. I am a bit of a nerd, I am not a book reader but I read lots and lots of manga. I have always been interested in trends and fashion, that's why I'm craving to learn anything about our fabric range (creative process, colouring, design, sustainability). 

Kara - Retail Shop Supervisor

Hi I’m Kara and I am one of the retail supervisors for the Globe! You’ll most likely find me in the shop where I’ll happily help you with all of your enquiries. A huge film fan, I have worked in cinemas and film festivals across London. In my free time I enjoy exploring London’s Independent cinema scene, visiting galleries and reading novels. I also love interior design and can often be found completely rearranging my furniture or putting up new shelves.
