An Arrow to the Moon by Emily X. R. Pan Book Review

This is truly a beautiful book. It is soft and sweet and sweeping throughout and if you take the time to read it you will not be disappointed. This book takes you on a journey of new friendship and young love that is so innocent and trusting. Inspired by William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the story of Hunter Yee and Luna Chang is truly magical.

Hunter Yee is a young boy who is never able to match up to his parents’ expectations for him. Misunderstood and frustrated with his lot in life, Hunter meets Luna Chang, the daughter of his parents’ sworn nemesis.

Luna Chang is practically perfect in every way, and her life is on course to be exactly as her parents have it laid out for her. The only problem with being practically perfect is that sometimes you have to lose yourself to become this way. Luna Chang is lost and alone, going to school every day with people who barely know her, that is until she meets Hunter Yee.

Hunter and Luna’s connection is magnetic, and when they meet magical things begin to happen to them and to their town.

It is easy to get swept up in Hunter and Luna’s first love story, and well worth the read.
