Books for Younger Readers

Shakespeare is available for all ages and reading levels with our selection of Shakespeare books for younger readers. Usborne Young Readers series of storybooks are retellings of Shakespeare’s classics in simple language, with engaging illustrations for young readers to enjoy. Classics in Graphics are perfect for reading age 9 and up and feature bold imagery and easy to follow dialogue. Manga Shakespeare features cutting-edge Manga illustrations and abridged text from Shakespeare’s original plays.

From collector’s editions to academic texts, our selection of play scripts are chosen to appeal to students, actors, and Shakespeare-lovers alike! We keep stock in The Oxford Shakespeare, The Arden Shakespeare, New Cambridge Shakespeare, Chiltern Classics and more, available online and in store.

DVDs

For those who are not able to make it to our productions, or those who want to relive the fun of their last visit, production DVDs are a way for you to take the Globe home with you. Production DVDs are available for a variety of plays and new editions are added as they are made available.

Programmes

Throughout the year we stock programmes for all our current productions, these are available to purchase online and in store for the duration of the plays.

We offer a limited selection of older programmes from past performances at the Globe and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in our From the Archive collection.

Shakespeare’s Globe Book Box

Our Shakespearean focus book boxes contain a different book and bookmark each month and either a second book or a related goodie from our shop. At the beginning of every month, we package our book boxes and begin sending these out across the globe to all our dedicated readers.

Book boxes are available to be purchased online only and can be bought as a one, three, size of twelve-month subscription.
