This highly detailed bust of Shakespeare will look rather fab on your mantlepiece or bookcase.
The bust is based on near contemporary illustrations of the Bard and is hand cast in Bath in fine British plaster. Around the base there are a series of details associated with Shakespeare and his works, including quill and ink, scrolls and books, the Greek masks of comedy and tragedy, a crown, the famous Hamlet skull and the Capulet Rose and Montague Swords from Romeo and Juliet
The quote around the base reads "to thine own self be true" from Act 1, scene 3 of Hamlet. The bust is flat backed and can also be used as a decorative bookend
Every purchase you make supports the work of Shakepseare's Globe. Thank you!
