Twelve of Shakespeare's best-known heroines are richly given life in this beautifully illustrated book. From Juliet leaning out of her balcony, to the battle-ready Margaret of Anjou, the women of Shakespeare are gloriously celebrated on their own terms. The women are individual, funny, flawed, naive, selfish and the character portraits are those of nuanced human beings.
Every purchase you make supports the work of Shakespeare's Globe. Thank you!

Review
I really enjoyed this book, its a great introduction to understanding and learning more about the female characters of Shakespeare in greater depth. Each page introduces you to a selection of Shakespeare's female protagonists and although the information is condensed to one page, I still got a good sense of their nature and temperament at a good level. I would highly recommend this to fellow Shakespeare lovers.
